Taking over other cultures just for profit?

Globalization can be defined as the process of interaction among the people, industries and governments between different nations. There are two main contributers to Globalization: The United Nations and The World Bank. This process has an effect on the environmental, culture and economic development. Globalization is all around us and affects each of us differently. Its up to us to decide how we deal with globalization and keep a balance between separation and globalization. With out a balance, globalization will take over. A huge problem with this to me is the affect on our culture and others around us.
To me, The benefits of globalization do not out weight the costs. An example of this is shown in our economic system by modern day slavery through sweat shops. Instead of caring where the product, such as clothes is being produced, comes from.. our government would rather pay a cheaper price to make a profit when they sell it in their own country. The government does not care if there is child labor laws or even good working conditions from the other countries. The only thing they care about is profit. The other example is that we lose our morals and ethics when we do this. Instead of working for ourselves, we have someone else do it. AND instead of treating other like equal like we are taught in school, we treat them like they are inferior. Not only do we set a new code of ethics for those who will precede us, we harm the culture of other countries by making them feel unimportant and make them feel used. Not only do we force them to work for us in sweat shops, we force our culture on them. Examples of this are shown all around. Like how there is Mc Donalds in Rome, Paris and London. And how companies that are established in the United States STILL make a profit from selling their merchandise in these other nations. What if they do both? Have people work in sweat shops and make a profit from having their stores all over the world? They would be harming the other cultures twice as bad.  Has globalization changed our countries moral and ethics.. I believe so. That is why i believe that the benefits of Globalization do not out weight the costs.
